IF - Days 3-6

Happy Friyay Eve!!

We are so excited and ready for the weekend over here! This week has gone by surprisingly fast. Thank Goodness!!

My son's birthday is tomorrow and we head out to see their brother, my stepson, this weekend! We are so excited!!

Does anyone else blink and another year has gone by it seems?! Man, time sure does just fly on by!

So, I am still holding strong on my intermittent fasting. I am loving it and the flexibility of it. I have stuck with a 16:8 fasting period. I fast for 16 hours and my eating window is 8 hours. Today, however, I am pushing my eating to a 12 hour eating window. I worked out this morning and to be honest, it's "shark week" next week. I am typically way more hungry the week before that. Plus, tonight we have our monthly girls dinner so I am allowing myself to eat just a bit later/earlier and enjoy myself. I just listen to my body. I am definitely not eating as much nor do I have that big of a sweet tooth. I am still doing my workouts but I did not go to CG this week. I just did my LIIFT4 workouts and am loving those!

I hope next to incorporate walking everyday to my routine beginning next week. It's been so hot here so I will need to do this right after my work out most likely. This will mean getting up just a tad earlier and kicking my day off juuuust right!

Work has been super busy. We have less than three weeks until school starts so we will be getting ready for back to school this coming week. My kiddos will be with their dad the week before going back to school so mama gets a bit of a break!!

I hope everyone has a great day and rest of the week!

Stay Blessed!

Intermittent Fasting - Days 1 and 2

Hi There! Remember me?!

Lemme tell ya .. it is HOT here in Texas. I feel like I am meeeeeeelting!!

The other day I asked my mom how much she thought I weighed .. just looking at me. She told me. It was almost 30 lbs less than what I actually weigh. I know I can eat better but I don't eat bad. I don't drink sodas, I don't eat a lot of sweets or fast food. I drink a lot of water. I work out, on average, about 4 times a week. But, I don't eat clean, whole foods, all of the time.

So Friday, I started intermittent fasting. Friday night I stopped eating at 7:00 pm and Saturday I broke my fast Saturday afternoon about 1:00, I think.

Saturday night I stopped eating at 8:00 pm and today (Sunday) I started eating at 10:00 am. I was starving today. I hope to eat my last thing tonight, no later than 7:00 pm and start eating Monday at 11:00 or 12:00.

So far, I really like it. This morning, like I said, I was hungry. But I drank a bottle of cold water and that helped me get to 10:00 am. I broke my fast both days with a shake. After, I had a 2x2x2 : 2 eggs, 2 Kodiak cakes with 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder, and 2 pieces of bacon. For lunch I had leftover brown rice and chicken. I am supes full still right now. l will most likely have a protein shake about 4 and dinner about 6:15.

I have a lot of stomach fat and that is what I am focusing on right now.

I am doing the LIIFT4 Coach test group and I am really loving it. It is a weightlifting and HIIT workout with abs every day. I will be increasing my weight this next week as I know I am capable of more. Last week was week 1 and I only used/had 3lbs/5 lbs/8 lbs weights. I am going to buy 10 lbs and 15 lbs to push myself for week 2.

I also snagged a free month workout with Camp Gladiator. I was loving that as well. It is early in the morning on M, T, and Thursdays. LIIFT4 is a 4 day workout with 3 days recovery or active recovery. The program is great because it is flexible and you can do it when it works for you. I am still deciding if want to enjoy my last week of CG this week. If I do, my workouts will be like this:

Monday: Camp Gladiator
Tuesday: Camp Gladiator
Wednesday: LIIFT4 Day 5
Thursday Camp Gladiator
Friday:LIIFT4 Day 6
Saturday: LIIFT4 Day 7
Sunday: LIIFT4 Day 8

I will also still be doing the Intermittent Fasting so will keep updating on that. But, like I mentioned, I have felt great, not starving (except for this morning), sleeping great, haven't had headaches. I'm excited!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer and is staying cool! I'm ready for school and a routine again!!

Happy Sunday and Blessings!!

It's a great day to be alive!

Happy Valentines Day ** What Are You Doing ** Favorite Candy

Happy Valentine's Day!!

What are you guys doing for Valentine's Day? Did you already celebrate?

I will be working. I work part time in a restaurant and we are fully booked. We took reservations from 5:00 PM - 8:30 PM with a preset menu. Every spot is reserved and we have a waitlist. I am excited. I love super busy nights and it will go fast. It was super busy last night and Thursday and Friday are pretty booked as well. Lots of reservations so far. And let me just say .. I love working here. I had no restaurant experience prior to starting and I just Host but I absolutely love it.

As I mentioned yesterday, I already celebrated with my boys. I just got them something small and they will get that today. What do you get your kids? Do you celebrate? What is your favorite candy to receive. I love Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Saw this gems at Target and had to have a bag. I kept three and sent the bag with one of my sons to hand out to his teachers at school. Win Win!

Yesterday after my workout and recover drink I was starving, to the point I got the shakes. I whipped up this yummy post workout meal and it was delicious! Hit the spot.

And then I wanted a brownie. These are gluten free. Not dairy free, though. My boys loved them and I didn't tell them they were gluten free until AFTER .. because you know .. they would have a predetermined "I don't like them."

I did get up and walk my 1 mile today. I wanted to do 30 minutes flat but I had to get back home and I still wanted to get in a leg workout. My calves get tremendously sore/crampy when I am walking. Not sure if it is my shoes or the simple fact I am out of shape lol... but does this happen to anyone and what helped? Weird side note, IF I do the elliptical, my toes go numb. Therefore, I don't do the elliptical all that much. That happen to anyone else?

For my leg workout I did a barre workout. Holy Smokes. I forgot how hard these are. My girlfriends own a Barre studio and used to help her out. Man ... these workouts are NO JOKE!!

I hope everyone has a fantastic Valentine's Day celebrating with your spouse, partner, kids, or celebrate yourself!! Do something nice for you.

Why I Started

Howdy!

Can't believe it's almost been two months since my last post ... who am I kidding?! Yes, I can.

But .. today is a new day. I tell you, I know we all have been through some stuff, are going through some stuff, or will be going through some stuff. However, it seems like that stuff always hits at the same time. That's exactly what has been going on with me. I have done my best to remain positive and give it to God. Go on Faith. Pray. It helps. I thank Him everyday for a new day. A new day to start over. A new day to make a change. A new day to do something different. That's all we can do, right?

What I want to start on this wee blog is what I wanted to do in the very beginning. Walk myself to skinny. I know a lot more now than I did then and know that you just can't walk yourself skinny. Abs are made in the kitchen, right?! But, I do hope to start getting out or on the dreadmill for now and get some miles in.

Monday - didn't do crap. Actually, I did. I took my handsome boys to dinner for an early Valentines Day date. I have to work the rest of the week so this was the best time for us!

Tuesday (Today) - I already got it in because, well, I have to work later. :) I walked 1 mile on the treadmill followed by some arms and a brief ab workout. I tell you what ... my core is the weakest part on my body. I seriously did only ... 25 reach throughs. Gotta start somewhere right!

If you were wondering, I came home and did my arms and abs. :)

While on the treadmill I was listening to a podcast. The podcast I listened to today was Shaun T's Trust and Believe. Something he said really hit home with me. "Trust is consistency over time." Truer words have never been spoken. I have a hard time being consistent with just about everything. I don't know why. I could make excuses but I won't. He also said, "We are our own barrier." Yep ... you hit the nail on the head Shaun T. I am the only one standing in my way. Me. I choose to get up and just do it or get up and feel sorry for myself. Can't blame anyone but myself.

Today (one day at a time) I choose to get up and do it. I did do it. I am not going to be my own barrier standing in the way of MY goals. I am preventing myself from being a better me for my family. For what? Because my hand of cards sucks at the moment. What can I do to see the positive in this deck and make my own royal flush? It's time I put my big girl panties on and own it.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope everyone has a great Tuesday!!

Tiffany~
