Well Well ...Hello September!
It didn't take me over a month to write a new post. Baby steps.
What I've been up to, you ask?
Getting my kids in the groove of school...they are adjusting well and liking it here. I am so happy and relieved and surprised.
Working ... I switched positions and am loving it!!
Working out .. started a new 30 day program / challenge yesterday. The support on social media is amazing! I cannot wait to see my results.
My job started to do goal sessions every month. We do monthly, 1 year, 3 year, ,and someday. This has been amazing for me!! We do personal and business. One of my personal/business was to read a self improvement book. I chose "You're a Badass." Can't wait to get all into it.
Did you have a good Labor Day weekend? We went to my girlfriend's house. It was nice to relax. And eat good food. Truth be told I felt like complete shit when I got back. I was so grateful my challenge started yesterday..
I am so ready for fall .. pumpkins, cinnamon, football, fall colors, soups, chili, Hallmark movies!! Eeeek!!
Hope everyone has a wonderful evening!

On To The Next ...
And here we are .. many, many days since my last post. I tell you .. I give major props to those who work full time (job or Stay-at-home mama) and find time in your day to religiously blog. I thank you! It is no easy task so major props to you!! And I thoroughly enjoy reading them. :)
Anyways .. another school year starts tomorrow .. say wha?!?! I cannot believe summer is over. Someone said something to me the other day and I was like, "NO WAY!" But it's true! So, apparently from birth to 18 years of age, you only have 1,000 weeks with your children...what the what?! It is true....crazy when you say it like that! Anyways, no matter how hard the last two years have been on me after my divorce, I truly feel I have never been closer to my kiddos. I am going to enjoy and embrace and teach and love them every single minute of every single day.
Living back at home is going good. We hit a bit of a rough patch but doing much better now. It is definitely an adjustment for everyone but I'm just thankful we had the opportunity to "go back home." And truth be told, we probably should have done it a year ago and we would have been much better off! Oh well ... live and learn!
Workouts .. well .. let's just say here's to high hopes that our routine will be much better beginning tomorrow! I do much better with structure!!
Here are my goals for the week:
Monday
Walk/Run 2 miles and 30 minute circuit and 15 minute ab circuit
Tuesday
Walk/Run 2 miles and Barbell Blast class (if I make it back in town in time due to training) or I'll do the 30 minute circuit
Wednesday
Walk/Run 2 miles and Barre Class
Thursday
Walk/Run 2 miles and 30 minute circuit and 15 minute ab circuit
Friday
Walk/Run 2 miles and Turbo Kick class .. BOOM!
Saturday
Crossfit Bootcamp workout
Sunday
Rest!
I hope everyone has a wonderful week and if you have kiddos heading back to school I hope they have a wonderful week as well!!

Life ... Currently
Hello, Hello!
If you remember from back a couple months ago, I mentioned we were moving in temporarily with my folks. That happened. We have been moved and everything finally settled for a couple of weeks. I say settled loosely. Very loosely. I am still trying to get my schedule/routine down. This is hard during the summer. The boys are with their dad for a couple weeks so I will becoming acquainted with the local gym here. FINALLY! I am also getting accustomed to my new work scheduled/position.
I ain't gonna lie (I know that isn't proper English) but it is so nice having home cooked meals .. and home cooked meals from Mom!! YUM! Just nothing like it. We do share the cooking duty .. I aim to cook twice a week and her 3-4. :) She was doing our laundry and I told her she didn't have to do it anymore. That was lovely as well. :) Weird, but I sort of like doing laundry.
I have not had any time to do anything really back at home. My day pretty much consists of wake, shower, go to work, home, dinner, play with my kids, bed. Wake up. Repeat. B-O-R-I-N-G. But I am not complaining!
I went through some personal/health issues earlier this year and it has caused me to completely re-evaluate everything. God works in mysterious ways. Just the way things work out (or don't) things that happen. Crazy. He is definitely looking out and knows what's best. Because of this I have decided to completely focus on myself and my kids for the next year. I am not dating at all.
Tomorrow is August 1. For one year I, TSO, am committing to God, my kids, and myself to be the best me I can be. I will elaborate more on the few things I will be doing.
Please check back for updates. My goal is to post daily. I can do this.

About Me ...
Some things you may, or may not, know about me.
I am a mom.
I love to dance...not dance it up in the club because I don't frequent those, but love to do choreographed dance. Sometimes I think I should have majored in dance and minored in nursing. Instead, I majored in Business Management and have a career in the mortgage biz.
When I love a song, I will replay that song over and over and over again. My kids hate when I do this. Seriously. They will yell, "AGAIN" at me. Everytime. My youngest starts howling like a dog when I do this. It's quite amusing. And he's really good.
I have six sisters. This is one reason I am looking forward to "going back home." To be closer to some of those sisters.
I get major anxiety. I don't take medication. I know how to calm myself down. Thankfully.
I always get "great" ideas that turn out to be not so "great."
I love to volunteer. Need to do this more.
I am scared to death of snakes and tornadoes. Yet, I live in the Lone Star State!
I don't eat seafood. Any kind.
I fall asleep every single night with my tv on and one of two of the same movies playing every night. I reckon this will change soon though.
I like to travel but scared of flying. I do fly but I get ... anxiety. It is getting better, though.
I've only been to two different countries. I have a list of places I want to go.
I have never lived outside of Texas. I plan on this changing once my youngest graduates high school.
There's a little peek into me. There's still a lot left and I'm trying to figure myself out.
Have a good weekend!

Ten Things Thursday
Hi and Happy Thursday!
I'm very happy we are one day closer to Friday and the weekend.
Today, I wanted to share 10 things I would love to do by 12/31/2016. Hard to believe we a little more than half way there. Crazy how time just flies by.
1. Deepen my relationship with the Lord.
2. Run .. Don't walk .. a 5k and 10k. I still want to run a full marathon ... sometime.
3. Obtain a fitness certification - this is already in the works and will be happening very soon.
4. Go on a weekend trip by myself. I am hoping I can tie this into a fitness certification.
5. Read 6 books. I wanted to read 12-15 this year but that has happened.
6. Take a cooking class.
7. Volunteer - I am hoping when we move I can do something and include my boys. I have an idea and I think it will be awesome!
8. Blog more and be consistent.
9. I want, okay Need .. to lose about 40 pounds.
10. Run/Walk 15 miles/week. - of course this is prepping me for that 5k/10k .. right?!
11. Take my boys somewhere cool ..
**I added 11 since #10 was tied to #2. :)
Hope everyone has a great rest of your day!

Weekend and Weekly Workouts
Happy Sunday to ya folks!
I hope everyone had a great weekend and a nice Sunday.
Prayers for Orlando. When will the violence end? So senseless, tragic, and just sad.
My boys were with their dad and I got some time to clean out, pack some stuff up, and sell some things! It was, overall, an accomplished weekend. I feel like the boys will be shocked when they come home to no dining room table, no shelves, and no dishes. Paper plates it is for the next few weeks.
I wanted to share my workout goals for the week. I'm not going to be too ambitious because when that happens...I fail. Or I hurt myself.
So with that being said .. here are my workout plans for the week:
Monday: Barre Code and Brawl (similar to a kickboxing .. you know.. jab, cross, jab, knee)
Tuesday: Barre Code
Wednesday: TBC (similar to a bootcamp with a little HIIT mixed in) and my personal trainer.
Thursday: Barre Code and Zumba (haven't done Zumba in a minute .. okay .. like thousands of minutes.
Friday: Barre Code and Turbo Kick (cannot wait for this.)
My new favorite class, High Fitness, won't be back in action until 6/21. This is a wonderful, fun, high energy cardio class.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!!
